Logistics Analyst Intern

Job Summary
The Logistics Analyst Intern is responsible for providing critical financial analysis and support to the Logistics team. This role involves a deep understanding of logistics operations, financial reporting, and data analysis. The primary focus is on ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, variance analysis, and forecasting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Analysis and Reporting:
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial reports for freight, warehousing, import, and other logistics costs.
- Conduct variance analysis to identify trends and potential cost-saving opportunities.
- Develop and maintain financial models to forecast future costs and budgets.
- Prepare ad-hoc financial reports and analysis as required.
- Logistics Data Analysis:
- Collect, clean, and analyze large datasets related to logistics operations.
- Identify trends, patterns, and anomalies in the data.
- Utilize data visualization tools to present insights in a clear and concise manner.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve data quality and reporting.
- Process Improvement:
- Identify opportunities to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
- Develop and implement process improvements to enhance accuracy and reduce costs.
- Work with the team to automate manual tasks and leverage technology to optimize workflows.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in data science, Finance, Accounting, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial analysis tools.
- Experience with data analysis and visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
- Knowledge of logistics operations, including freight, warehousing, imports, and transportation is a plus.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Compensation
The pay for this internship is $21.00 per hour.
