PreCut Machine Operator

Purpose:

PreCut machine Operators are team members operating Company cutting machines. These team members are responsible for operating Company cutting machines to cut received product (whole fish) into designated size for production. They are responsible for ensuring the product they use conforms to Company quality standards. They may also be tasked with ensuring their workstation is free of debris.

 

Duties:

• Operating Company cutting machines to cut product into designated size for Production.

 

Requirements:

• Must be physically capable of accessing workstation (climbing a few steps is required to access the workstation).
• Must be physically capable of standing, sitting, and/or walking on cement floors for extended periods of time.
• Must be capable of safely operating Company cutting machines.
• Must be physically capable of handling raw product (fish).
• Must be capable of working assigned shifts, in addition to overtime (if required).
• Must be capable of working weekends if assigned.
• Must have a minimum of a Grade 10 Education (or equivalent).
• Must be legally allowed to work in Canada.

 

Working Conditions and Physical Capacities:

This position can be physically demanding with any combination of standing, sitting, and/or walking on cement floors for extended periods of time. The ability to climb a few steps to access the workstation is required. The ability to operate Company cutting machines is required. Some hand dexterity is required to manually handle raw product (fish). Levels of excessive noise can be expected during periods of high production.
