About the Role

Reporting to the Manager, Business Analysis / Sales Operations, the Sales & Procurement Coordinator is responsible for the coordination of international sales and purchase orders by following the progression of sales orders from the initial stage of receipt through to the final clearance of the goods from the importing country’s Customs Office.  This includes corresponding with our warehouse to ensure product availability, corresponding with the procurement department for traded orders, ensuring documentation is accurate and complete for traded orders, confirming shipping schedules and documentation requirements with the logistics department, and working with the supply chain and sales teams.

The position will be responsible for the interaction between sales and our international suppliers on a day-to-day business.  The procurement department will handle the price negotiations but thereafter the Sales & Procurement Coordinator will assume responsibility.

Responsibilities

  • Collect, analyze, and report data to increase sales productivity
  • Assist management in developing and reviewing the sales budget and rolling sales forecast including sales to budget variance analysis, updating SAP
  • Analyze line of business operations (distribution listings, etc.) to determine profitability and to establish a baseline for action and operational changes
  • Develop models and reporting structure that identify costs (by function, process,
    fixed, variable) per unit (distributor, purchase order, other) and identify a baseline for action
  • Co-ordinate with the sales managers to provide updated forecast files to include rationale for changes
  • Generate ad hoc reporting tor Sales, Marketing, Pricing and Product Management
  • Provide follow up with suppliers, freight forwarders and sales managers on traded orders

What You Need to Succeed

  • University Degree in Bachelor of Business Administration/Bachelor of Commerce or related field
  • Ability to perform analysis such as forecasting
  • Ability to co-ordinate and manage simultaneous requests of varying size and scope
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey complex information to a broad audience
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work independently and within a team environment
  • Expert knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, and the ability to master company specific computer software and related databases
