 ABOUT THE ROLE

• Boiler room maintenance and shift coverage as needed with the use of Automated Controls and PLC equipment and computer assisted equipment. 
• Ensure compliance with established standards and legislation. 
• The ability to work or fill-in for continuous shift operations without lateness or absenteeism is important. 
• Design and make changes to existing Plant Systems as required. 
• Troubleshoot and perform repairs to auxiliary equipment. 
• HVAC experience would be considered an asset. 
• Ozone Depleting Substances permit would be considered an asset. 

WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL: 

• 3rd Class Stationary Engineering License Required. 
• Team player with strong technical, interpersonal, organizational and leadership skills  
• Must be willing to work overtime as requested  
• Experience as the primary Shift Operator.
• Knowledge of and experience with Automated Controls and PLC equipment and computer assisted equipment.  
• Intermediate knowledge of mechanical and electrical trades. 
• Ability to work independently. 
• Must maintain open communications and teamwork within the plant team while achieving critical maintenance objectives. 
• Ability to read blueprints and schematics. 
• Must be willing to be on-call – Ability to perform unscheduled and emergency repairs as required. 
• Accustom to performing all aspects of maintenance in a power house setting.
