Manufacturing Data Analytics Manager

Bumble Bee Seafoods is looking for an experienced Data Manager who will oversee the development and use of data systems.  The Data Manager is an experienced data analytics professional with extensive knowledge in data analysis and the tools need to provide needed information to the operations team in today fast past manufacturing environments.

  • Review presentations, manuscripts, graphs, and tables (datasets) to ensure accuracy and quality
  • Develop standards of operation when handling and archiving data for data collection and integration
  • Maintaining data management plans and instructions for operating complex business systems
  • Integrate of new technologies and initiatives into data standards and structures
  • Work with IT to evaluate the design, selection, and implementation of site created database changes by comparing then with business requirements and design documents
  • Assessing system performance and making recommendations for hardware, software, and data storage improvements
  • Ensuring data and information integrity and accountability
  • Setup and develop data bases to report on key metrics that drive the overall effectiveness of the plant. Examples of but not limited to; OEE, PE, Production Downtime, Compliance Metrics, Etc.
  • Maintain Data models and workbooks for delivering KPI reporting
  • Provide Power BI training and support for both plant and senior leadership
  • Process data in timely fashion for KPI reporting
  • Develop reports as needed for both plant and corporate leadership
  • Provide data modeling support for other Bumble Bee Operation outside of Cape May as needed
  • Create dashboards and reports based on recommendations and findings for operation teams and leadership
  • Work with subject experts and business leaders to identify opportunities for improvement
  • Stays up to date with industry trends in data analysis for manufacturing
  • Other duties as assigned


Education/ Experience/ Skills Required


  • Bachelor’s degree in related field
  • MBA preferred
  • 5+ years in a data analytics roll with manufacturing experience
  • In-depth understanding of modern database and information technologies
  • Excellent math, problem-solving, and analytical skills


  • Time management skills and the ability to work towards meeting multiple deadlines simultaneously
  • In-depth knowledge of Power BI, SAP, Excel, Power Query, Share Point and Office Scripts
  • Ability or analyze, interpret, and organize large amounts of data
  • Excellent time management and

General Laborer

Essential Duties

These duties directly and substantially serve to achieve the purpose of the position.

  • Scale ingredients, transport ingredients
  • Examine products to verify conformance to quality standards
  • Open rejected cans
  • Operate meat dumper equipment, transfer raw materials to batch containers
  • Perform prep work for kitchen
  • Load and unload items from machines, conveyors, and conveyances
  • Operate/use the following equipment as necessary: materials transferred carts, shovels, electric can opener
  • Hand palletize 8-ounce six pack cases, or other cases in the event of a palletizer breakdown


Other Duties

  • Assist in other production departments as assigned
  • Company with all company procedures and policies, including safety rules and Good  Manufacturing Practices


Required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)

  • Bump cap, hearing protection, hair net, beard net, eye protection, gloves, slip resistant, steel toe          shoes, uniform, face shield if welding, back support belt, COVID-19 protection.
