Key Account Manager – Natural
PURPOSE
Bumble Bee Foods is seeking a Key Account Manager to lead selling activities for several existing customers including MDI, Ingles, and Hy-Vee. In addition, this role will lead new business development within the Natural channel such as Sprouts and Whole Foods. This dynamic role requires strong cross-functional collaboration with Sales Leadership, Trade Marketing, Marketing, Category Management, and Brokers to develop and execute sales plans.
This is a remote position open to candidates anywhere in the U.S., with a preference for candidates who reside near a major airport in the Southeast, Mid-Atlantic, or Midwest.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES

- Manage a large, complex grocery customer portfolio independently, balancing diverse go-to-market strategies with strong prioritization and planning.
- Develop and lead customer plans that maximize distribution, shelf placement, merchandising, and promotion for Bumble Bee items.
- Maintain a strong in-market presence through regular customer meetings, broker leadership, and store visits.
- Lead forecasting excellence by managing volume planning, promotional planning, post-promotion analysis, and customer insights to support accurate inventory deployment across the supply chain and within applicable trade systems.
- Partner cross-functionally with order processing, deductions management, category management, supply chain, and marketing to deliver strong customer outcomes.
- Manage deductions for assigned customers proactively and drive timely resolution.
- Build best-in-class knowledge of the shelf-stable seafood and meat categories through continuous learning.
- Maintain the highest ethical and professional standards in all internal and external business interactions, including effective time management, communication, and meeting preparation.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS DESIRED
- Bachelor’s degree preferred, ideally in Business or Marketing.
- 2 to 5 years of CPG sales or category management experience, preferably with direct customer responsibility.
- Proven record of ownership, including proactive planning, follow-through, and execution.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to analyze syndicated data and apply insights effectively in sales presentations.
- Working knowledge of trade fund management systems and internal sales and shipment reporting tools, with experience in CAS (TPM), Cognos, and SAP preferred but not required.
- Ability to travel up to 25% of the time.

The pay range for this role is $85,000-$105,000 annually. *Compensation will match the level of knowledge, education, skills, and experience applicable to the position.

National Account Manager – Wholesale

This dynamic role requires strong cross-functional collaboration with Sales Leadership, Trade Marketing, Marketing, Category Management, and Brokers to develop and execute sales plans.
The position is remote; however, candidates must reside in the U.S., preferably near Nashville, Kansas City, Minneapolis or Dallas.

Director Sales, Food Service
Anova Food, a subsidiary of Bumble Bee Foods, is the leading supplier of sustainable sashimi grade ahi tuna in North America.
The Director of Sales – Foodservice is responsible for the overall business development of the Anova portfolio within the Food Service Channel. Further tasked with the successful growth of existing customers and the attainment of new accounts. Customers will include but are not limited to leading Multi Unit Restaurants National Account FS Chains, Foodservice broad liners and seafood wholesalers.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assume direct sales responsibility for the Anova product line including branded and private label tuna, salmon and finfish.
- Manage new business development for the Anova line. Focus on sales prospecting efforts within the assigned channel (i.e., lead generation, pipeline management).
- Build strong relationships with customers/strategic contacts and ensure highly effective client communication.
- Manages all assigned markets & customers to attain company objectives.
- Work to achieve and exceed overall sales goals and sales activity standards.
- Collect intelligence on pricing, sales, competition, clients, prospective clients, and industry trends.
- Control expenses to meet budget guidelines.
- Adheres to all company policies, procedures and business ethic codes.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILLS REQUIRED
- Bachelor’s degree in business or related field is required.
- A minimum of 10 years’ sales experience; fresh/frozen seafood is preferred but not mandatory.
- Successful track record for business development in seafood sales.
- Solid customer relationships with major accounts across all channels.
- Strong understanding of customer and market dynamics.
- Strong value system (e.g., integrity, honesty).
- Possesses and demonstrates strong communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills.
- Computer literate: able to run and excel in all Microsoft Office platforms (i.e. Excel, Word, Power Point).
- Must be able to accurately forecast the channel as assigned.
- Able to travel at least 50% of the time for business.
