Director Sales, Business Development
The Director of Sales is responsible for the business development in addition execution of all client sales activities of the Anova product portfolio within the assigned Channel and for the successful growth of current accounts and the attainment of new accounts. Position requires travel throughout the US, managing tradeshows and sales meetings. Customers will include but are not limited to leading Club & Retail chains, Foodservice broadliners, Multi Unit Restaurant Chains, national distributor accounts and seafood wholesalers.
Anova Food, a subsidiary of Bumble Bee Foods, is the leading supplier of sustainable sashimi grade ahi tuna in North America.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assume direct sales responsibility for the Anova product line including branded and private label tuna, salmon, finfish and additional food service shelf stable products including tuna and clams.
- Manage direct business development for the Anova line. Focus on sales prospecting efforts within the channel (i.e., lead generation, pipeline management).
- Build strong relationships with customers/strategic contacts and ensure highly effective client communication.
- Manages all assigned markets & customers to attain company objectives.
- Executes sales strategies and initiatives and marketing plans.
- Work to achieve and exceed overall sales goals and sales activity standards.
- Collect intelligence on pricing, sales, competition, clients, prospective clients, and industry trends.
- Control expenses to meet budget guidelines.
- Adheres to all company policies, procedures and business ethic codes.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILLS REQUIRED
- Bachelor’s degree in business or related field is required.
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience in the fresh/frozen seafood categories is required.
- Successful track record for business development in seafood sales.
- Solid customer relationships with major accounts across all channels.
- Strong understanding of customer and market dynamics.
- Strong value system (e.g., integrity, honesty).
- Possesses and demonstrates strong communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills.
- Computer literate: able to run and excel in all Microsoft Office platforms (i.e. Excel, Word, Power Point).
- Must be able to accurately forecast the channel as assigned.
- Able to travel at least 50% of the time for business.
- Experience with Japanese, Chinese & Korean distributors are a plus.

The pay range for this role is $128,244 – $148,244 annually.

Key Account Manager
PURPOSE
Bumble Bee Foods is posting for two Key Account Manager positions: one for West region and the other for East region. In this position one will be responsible for selling activities for Bumble Bee Foods for the assigned customers. This is a dynamic role in which cross functional partnership is critical. One can expect to work with Sales Leadership, Trade Marketing, Marketing, and Brokers to develop and execute sales plans.
Geographical requirements are as follows. Candidates must be based in one of the following states on the specific position to be considered an eligible applicant:
Key Account Manager – East: Delaware, Connecticut, Illinois, Indiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island
Key Account Manager – West: Arizona, California, Colorado, Idaho, Nevada, Oregon, Utah, Washington
ESSENTIAL DUTIES

- Lead efforts to develop Category influential plans to secure the best possible shelf merchandising for Bumble Bee items.
- Lead the broker relationship to ensure successful execution of plans.
- Assist in forecasting volume and sharing relevant customer information to ensure accurate deployment of inventory across the supply chain.
- Work across internal departments to resolve any customer issues.
- Work with Trade Marketing to complete and review post-promotional analysis.
- Deliver excellence in Trade Spend system management to minimize pricing and promotional discrepancies.
- Aggressively manage deductions at assigned customers to an expeditious resolution.
- Maintain the highest ethical and professional standards regarding business dealings with internal and external customers
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS DESIRED
- Bachelor’s degree Preferred. Business or Marketing preferred.
- 2-3 years of CPG Sales or Category Management experience
- Computer literate; able to produce Excel spreadsheets, Word documents and PowerPoint.
- Understand and be able to apply syndicated data analysis into sales presentations.
- Fundamental and working knowledge of Trade Fund Management systems and internal sales/shipment reporting systems.
- Experience with CAS (TFM), Cognos and SAP preferred but not mandatory.
- Able to travel at least 25% of the time.
