Procurement Intern

Position Summary

The Procurement Intern will support the Tuna Procurement team by assisting with tuna sourcing and sustainability activities, cost management, and invoice processing within SAP. This role provides hands-on exposure to global seafood procurement operations and requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work across cultures. The ideal candidate is fluent in Spanish, has the ability for international travel, and interested in building a career in procurement, supply chain, or sourcing.

This internship may be eligible for consideration as a full-time position upon successful completion of the internship, based on performance, business needs, and role availability.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Tuna Procurement team with day-to-day sourcing and procurement activities
  • Assist with cost tracking, cost analysis, and cost management related to tuna procurement
  • Process, review, and reconcile supplier invoices in SAP, ensuring accuracy and compliance
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders (Procurement, Sustainability, Operations) to resolve invoice or pricing discrepancies
  • Support supplier communications, including coordination with Spanish-speaking vendors
  • Assist with documentation, reporting, and data entry related to procurement activities
  • Participate in special projects related to sourcing strategy, supplier performance, or process improvement

 

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Aquaculture, Business or a related field
  • Fluency in Spanish (written and verbal)
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with professionalism
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and basic data analysis
  • Interest in procurement, sourcing, and global supply chain operations
  • Willingness and ability to travel internationally up to 20% as required

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Exposure to SAP or other ERP systems
  • Prior internship or coursework related to procurement, supply chain, or finance
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work in a cross-functional, multicultural environment

Compensation

The pay for this internship is $24.00 – $25.00 per hour.

Director, IT Operations

The Director of IT Operations must be a technically skilled leader responsible for leading and mentoring a small team of system engineers and support staff. The person in this role must ensure the stability, security, and scalability of our global IT infrastructure across multiple global regions. The ideal candidate combines leadership excellence with deep technical expertise to drive operational efficiency and deliver innovative solutions aligned with business needs.  The IT Operations Manager will also be directly responsible for any project and departmental milestones as well as adhering to budget.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of system engineers and IT support professionals.
  • Oversee IT operations for a global organization, ensuring 24/7 availability across time zones.
  • Review, update, and enforce IT policies and procedures to maintain compliance and security.
  • Collaborate with business units to design and implement technology solutions that meet organizational requirements.
  • Collaborate with the IT Applications and Applications Development groups to ensure infrastructure supports their solutions and projects.
  • Act as a hands-on technical leader, providing guidance and troubleshooting for complex issues.
  • Managing relationships with key IT vendors, partners, and stakeholders.
  • Identifying and evaluating new technologies and methodologies for IT operations.
  • Manage key technology and service providers (ISPs, cloud vendors, managed services, hardware and software suppliers), including contracts, SLAs.
  • Manage OpEx and CapEx budgets for IT infrastructure and operations, optimize spending on hardware, Cloud, tools, and services while meeting reliability and security targets.

 

Required Qualifications

  • Proven experience of at least 3 years as a technical leader in IT operations.
  • Strong collaborative demeanor. Practicing macro-manager who delegates without hovering.
  • Strong expertise in:
    • Microsoft Azure and Power Suite (VM’s, Entra ID, Web Apps, Fabric).
    • M365 stack (OneDrive, Teams, SharePoint Online, Exchange Online).
    • SaaS solutions.
    • Cybersecurity tools and best practices.
    • SQL databases.
    • WordPress administration.
    • Networking (switches, wireless, firewalls).
    • Cloud architecture.
  • Experience with IT portion of building moves.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, global environment.

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting an ERP system, preferably SAP solutions.
  • Experience with ITIL or similar frameworks.
  • Familiarity with automation tools and scripting (PowerShell).
  • Background in disaster recovery and business continuity planning.
  • Certifications such as CISSP, Azure Solutions Architect, or ITIL.
  • Bilingual in Spanish and English, with strong written and verbal communication skills in both languages.

The pay range for this role is $160,000 – $190,000 annually.

Job Title: Data Systems Engineer

Location: Location: San Deigo, CA

Reports To: Sr. Data Manager (Based in Cape May)

Travel: Up to 50% (as needed to support each plant)

 

Position Summary:

We’re looking for a Systems or Database Engineer to lead the architecture, setup, and ongoing support of our SCADA ecosystem. This role will focus on building a reliable and secure data infrastructure using Ignition, integrating it with Power BI and SharePoint to support real-time operations visibility and reporting across our facilities.

 

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the configuration, deployment, and maintenance of Ignition SCADA across our production environments.

• Design and manage backend databases supporting SCADA data collection and storage.

• Build and maintain data pipelines from Ignition to Power BI and SharePoint, ensuring clean, structured data for reporting and analysis.

• Collaborate with Operations, IT, and Engineering teams to identify key data needs and translate them into functional dashboards and tools.

• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and manage updates, patches, and backups.

• Implement and maintain security protocols for both OT and IT components of the SCADA system.

• Document system architecture, SOPs, and change logs to ensure long-term maintainability.

 

Qualifications:

• Demonstrated experience in data engineering, SCADA, or industrial systems (preferably using Ignition).

• Hands-on skills with SQL, Python, and data modeling in industrial environments.

• Proficient in Power BI, SharePoint, and enterprise reporting tools.

• Experience working with databases (e.g., SQL Server, Snowflake, PostgreSQL) and data pipelines (e.g., Airflow, ETL frameworks).

• Familiarity with network security and system architecture best practices in OT/IT environments.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across technical and operational teams.

• Ability to travel regularly to Cape May, Santa Fe Springs, and Blacks Harbour.
