Demand Planner

The Demand Planner will be responsible to develop operational forecast and executes the collaborative forecasting process. Creates and maintains forecast models, analyzes trends, seasonality, and incorporates business intelligence and forecast information from sales, marketing, procurement, planning, and other sources. Supports the monthly senior management consensus forecast process.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develops and recommends demand forecasts using historical sales trends, statistical forecasting models, and research on demand drivers.
  • Develops, manages, and leads the monthly senior management collaborative and consensus review process.
  • Deliver forecast accuracy KPIs that drive inventory and service levels that meet or exceed targeted goals.
  • Work with Sales, Marketing, Procurement, and Planning to better understand supply needs to drive forecast accuracy.
  • Supports the implementation, development, and maintenance of demand planning software by applying expertise in process, technology and forecasting practices.
  • Knowledge of Demand Planning and ability to work with all areas to implement forecasting management.
  • Provide direct analytical support highlighting forecast accuracy and trends that help improve the forecast errors.
  • Improve forecast accuracy by analyzing forecast error and timely correcting the modeling.
  • Develops future demand plans that drive supply chain planning processes.
  • Monitor demand on a daily basis and communicate updated projections.
  • Leverage industry best practices and continuous improvements to forecasting and supply planning processes and systems.

 

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILLS REQUIRED:

  • Education:  Four-year college degree in business, or other mathematically related field.  Or equivalent relevant job experience.
  • 2+ years of experience in demand or supply chain planning
  • Strong project management skills: ability to manage multiple projects/solutions for multiple business area requestors.
  • SAP/APO experience in Demand Planning a plus.
  • CPF, APICS, or CPIM certification a plus.
  • Experience in relevant areas:  Supply chain, purchasing, forecasting, demand management, inventory control, materials management, or distribution resource planning; preferably in the consumer packaged goods industry.
  • Skills:  Strong mathematical skills, strong quantitative and analytical skills, familiar with supply and demand planning concepts; broad range of computer skills – especially MS Excel, and other software packages; self-directed; ability to communicate findings, make recommendations and facilitate change; comfortable working with individuals at all organizational levels; project management skills.  Ability to manage many details with a high level of accuracy; ability to establish timelines and meet deadlines; excellent interpersonal and communications skills; skill in prioritizing workloads; ability to initiate, coordinate and move forward on planned activities.

Treasury Associate

The Treasury Associate is an integral member of the corporate Treasury team. The Treasury Associate will collaborate with internal stakeholders (accounting, finance, tax, legal, IT, business segments) and external partners (including relationship banks, treasury service providers) across a variety of corporate treasury activities. This position will seek to build efficiencies and improve Treasury processes, documentation, procedures, and management reporting to help build a best-in-class treasury organization to support the company’s growth and strategy.  The candidate should have intermediate to advanced MS Excel skills, good personal fiscal responsibility, and excellent customer service skills. The company will support continued professional development in the field of treasury and finance to include professional certifications such as AFP’s Certified Treasury Professional® (CTP).

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

  • Perform daily cash management operations – determine the company’s daily cash position, analyze/optimize the short-term borrowing needs, and facilitate internal controls for cash movements
  • Manage the corporate card program administration – provide exceptional customer service to our cardholders, communicate issues with our card provider, execute approved program changes, make appropriate updates via user administration, and troubleshoot/resolve cardholder usage difficulties
  • Daily Bank Reconciliations ensuring our system of record (SAP) agrees with daily cash positions reported by the company’s bank statements.
  • Perform administrative tasks in providing Treasury’s input to the daily Accounts Payable payment proposal process (i.e. provide necessary segregation of duties required for moving cash)
  • Prepare Treasury month- and quarter-end reporting for various stakeholders
  • Provide information in connection with the external and internal audits and monitor cash management activities to ensure compliance
  • Work with the company’s business units to support preparation of the company’s monthly cash flow forecasts and other cash and borrowing projection models
  • Support the company’s corporate hedging program – create and maintain reporting schedules, compliance documentation, trade settlements, and monthly presentation. Conduct supportive analysis for the Treasurer as needed.
  • Assist Treasurer with preparing regulatory reporting- FBAR, FATCA, Dodd-Frank, SOX, etc.
  • Gain intimate knowledge of the vendors managed by Treasury / Risk and the relevant sections of our general ledger enabling the ability to process invoices with proper coding to enable the most efficient processing for our partners in Accounts Payable, including the set up and approval of new vendors.
  • Support corporate accounting, corporate tax, business planning, internal audit and other functions as they relate to Treasury transactions.
  • Monitor/Report on monthly bank account analysis fees and provide recommendations to management to reduce spend and optimize banking structure

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILLS REQUIRED:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, or related field preferred.
  • CTP designation or progress towards CTP certification preferred.
  • Previous experience and expertise in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and PowerPoint preferred.
  • SAP experience preferred.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and show discretion in interactions with employees and third-party business partners.
  • Strong analytical capabilities and strong written and verbal communication skills required

Supply Chain Data Analytics Intern

The Supply Chain Data Analytics Intern will be part of the analytics team to identify business improvement opportunities and aid in dashboard and reporting development. This is an excellent opportunity for students pursing a business or science degree or recent college graduates with a business or science degree. Senior Director Ecommerce

Purpose

The Bumble Bee Seafood Company is looking for an experienced E-Commerce expert to lead and elevate our sales and marketing performance in a digital world. This person will be responsible for effectively establishing our digital shelf and bringing our brand strategies to life across E-Commerce environments (pureplay, omnichannel, marketplace, social commerce, and DTC) to capture our fair share of commerce in the channel. This position will collaborate horizontally and vertically across the organization to deliver a best-in-class omni-channel experience to sustain the accelerated growth of our digital business.  We are looking for an individual who has successfully led CPG E-Commerce marketplace transformations and is able to make an immediate impact across our portfolio of brands. They will have experience and expertise leveraging content and media to build brands and drive sales across multiple E-Commerce environments. They must be a strategic leader and doer, capable of effectively collaborating with brand marketing and sales to simultaneously grow brand health and revenue. S/he will be an adaptable, analytical, scrappy problem solver capable of finding creative solutions to maximize ROI.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

STRATEGY: Responsible for the strategy and roll out of digital marketplace roadmaps for Pure Play, Omnichannel, and Marketplace in full partnership with Brand Marketing and Sales.

  • Develop and execute short / long-term strategy to capture fair share of the E-Commerce channel.
  • Develop a business case to justify and prioritize resources needed to win within the channel and key customers.
  • Sync E-Commerce strategy with Brand and Sales strategy to ensure a seamless consumer journey with our brands / products across consumer touchpoints.
  • Develop Bumble Bee’s omnichannel “playbook” in partnership with Sales team
  • Contribute to brand team annual and long-term strategy planning process.

PRODUCT & DISTRIBUTION: Collaborate with Marketing & Supply Chain to establish an optimal E-Commerce product and packaging portfolio to maximize revenue, profit and consumer reach.

  • Ensure timely, accurate, and consistent product content syndication across all E-Commerce platforms – Syndigo, Product Information Management, Digital Asset Management, Content Management, etc.
  • Evaluate and optimize current product portfolio sold across current E-Commerce platforms.
  • Collaborate with Brand Marketing on innovation / new product development initiatives for the channel.
  • Identify and secure new customer / distribution opportunities.

PROMOTION: harmonize funding budgets (trade, consumer / shopper, and digital customer marketing) to maximize total return in E-Commerce environment.

  • Collaborate with Brand Marketing across aspects of digital content including: Owned digital channels (website eCommerce / product locator), Social Media/Social Commerce, and cross-channel content mapping.
  • Identify, recommend, and execute E-Commerce media strategy across platforms (AMS, specific retailer media groups, Instacart, Mindshare, etc.).
  • Allocate, execute, and maximize / measure ROI / ROAS on Digital Customer Marketing Budget.
  • Consult with Brand Marketing to help develop and execute customer specific digital shopper marketing programs.
  • Define and report on KPI’s of the effectiveness of content and media tactic

PARTNERSHIPS: be the company E-Commerce subject matter expert, establishing internal and external partnerships to build and execute E-Commerce strategy.

  • Internal: fully integrate with Brand management and Sales; establish effective working relationships across multiple cross functional teams (IT, finance, supply chain, etc.).
  • Collaborate with Brand Management and Sales to develop and optimize shopper marketing objectives and strategies.
  • External: forge strategic partnerships with key digital players including (but not limited to) agency partners, retail media groups, key customer marketing teams, broker E-Commerce teams, and others to co-develop winning business plans.
  • Business ownership for key eCommerce customers.
  • Promote digital vision, standards and guidelines for eCommerce and technology platforms across the business, retailers, distributors, industry and solution partners.

Qualifications and Skills Desired
