Director of E-commerce

Purpose

 

The Bumble Bee Seafood Company is looking for an experienced E-Commerce expert to lead and elevate our sales and marketing performance. This person will be responsible for effectively establishing our digital shelf and bringing brand strategies to life across E-Commerce environments. This position will collaborate horizontally and vertically across the organization to deliver a best-in-class omni-channel experience to sustain the accelerated growth of our digital business. We are looking for an individual who has successfully led CPG E-Commerce marketplace transformations and can make an immediate impact across our portfolio of brands. They will have experience and expertise leveraging content and media to build brands, as well as driving sales and profit across E-Commerce environments. They must be a strategic leader and doer, capable of effectively collaborating with marketing, finance and supply chain to grow revenue and profit. S/he will be an adaptable, analytical, scrappy problem solver capable of finding creative solutions to maximize ROI.

 

Essential Duties

 

STRATEGY: Responsible for the strategy and rollout of digital marketplace roadmaps for Pure Play in full partnership with Brand Marketing and Sales.

  • Develop and execute short/long-term strategy to capture fair share of the E-Commerce channel.
  • Develop a business case to justify and prioritize resources needed to win within the channel and key customers.
  • Sync E-Commerce strategy with Brand and Sales strategy to ensure a seamless consumer journey.
  • Contribute to annual strategy planning process.

 

PRODUCT & DISTRIBUTION: Collaborate with Marketing & Supply Chain to establish an optimal E-Commerce product and packaging portfolio to maximize revenue, profit and consumer reach.

  • Ensure timely, accurate, and consistent product content syndication across all E-Commerce platforms – Syndigo, Product Information Management, Digital Asset Management, Content Management, etc.
  • Evaluate and optimize current product portfolio sold across current E-Commerce platforms.
  • Collaborate with Brand Marketing on innovation / new product development initiatives for the channel.
  • Identify and secure new customer / distribution opportunities.

 

PROMOTION: harmonize funding budgets (trade, consumer / shopper, and digital advertising) to maximize total return.

  • Collaborate with Brand Marketing on digital content including: Owned digital channels (website eCommerce / product locator), Social Media/Social Commerce, and cross-channel content mapping.
  • Identify, recommend, and execute E-Commerce media strategy across platforms (AMS, specific retailer media groups, Instacart, Mindshare, etc.).
  • Allocate, execute, and maximize / measure ROI / ROAS on Digital Customer Marketing Budget.
  • Develop and execute customer specific digital shopper marketing programs.
  • Define and report on KPI’s for content and media effectiveness.

 

OPERATIONS:

  • Oversee catalog management of over 150 unique items, ensuring product listings are accurate, up-to-date, and optimized for search and conversion.
  • Manage purchase orders (PO) and coordinate with Supply Chain to ensure timely fulfillment and delivery.
  • Assist Supply Chain in the implementation of programs to support E-commerce growth, including logistics optimization; FTL, drop trailers, pallet ordering, GTIN ordering, etc.

 

PARTNERSHIPS: be the company E-Commerce subject matter expert, establishing internal and external partnerships to build and execute E-Commerce strategy.

  • Internal: fully integrate with Brand management and Sales; establish effective working relationships across multiple cross-functional teams (IT, finance, supply chain, etc.).
  • External: forge strategic partnerships with key digital players including (but not limited to) agency partners, retail media groups, key customer marketing teams, broker E-Commerce teams, and others to co-develop winning business plans.
  • Business ownership for key Pure Play eCommerce customers.
  • Provide e-commerce guidance to brick-and-mortar colleagues.

 

BUDGET & PERFORMANCE: contribute to setting, managing, and achieving budgeted targets including:

  • Achieving channel volume, sales, share, and margin targets.

 

MEASUREMENT & INSIGHTS: employ “test and learn” mindsight to progress toward vision of being a best-in-class brand in E-Commerce.

  • Understand e-commerce consumer and segmentation.
  • Establish channel measurement framework and expertise to regularly share back to the business.

 

PEOPLE MANAGEMENT:

  • Effectively lead and develop direct report.
  • Manage broker partner to ensure delivery of the business.

 

Qualifications and Skills Desired

 

  • 5+ years’ experience, building and leading online, direct to consumer, multi-CPG brands preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing or related business field.
  • Proven leadership in digital marketing and E-commerce.
  • Strong strategic thinking and daily business management execution.
  • Ability to build and maintain partnerships and relationships across business units and external partners.
  • Track record of leadership and talent development.
  • Knowledge of website technical structure, design, content, navigation, and functionality.
  • Expertise in online marketing best practices for customer acquisition, retention, loyalty, and growth.
  • Ability to influence people, processes, and technology to enhance company performance.
  • Deep understanding of CPG, food & beverage, Amazon marketplace dynamics, and Ecommerce in traditional retailers.
  • Experience in P&L management and driving profitable, sustainable growth in Ecommerce.
  • Proficiency in forecasting and reporting Ecommerce KPIs.
  • Advanced presentation skills with PowerPoint and financial modeling in Excel.

Staff Accountant

Will be responsible for supporting period-end accounting closing cycles, preparing, and recording general journal entries, asset and liability account reconciliations, system maintenance, monthly reporting, audit support schedules, balance sheet and income statement account variance analysis and accounting projects.  Will work effectively with personnel from other departments and affiliated companies to ensure timely, accurate completion of accounting cycle closings and service request responses.  Position has expectations for growth into steadily increasing complexity of tasks.

 

Essential Duties:

  • Analyzes business transactions and events as the basis for preparing general journal entries and properly documents transactions
  • Provides conclusive support for journal entries in the form of underlying documents, schedules, and explanations
  • Reviews journal entries for accuracy prior to recording the entries and after recording the entry to verify expected impact to the balance sheet and related income or expense accounts
  • Performs month-end reconciliations of accounts and provides reasonable explanations and insightful analysis of the components of assigned accounts
  • Researches and applies generally accepted accounting principles in support of accounting, and proposes reasonable solutions to accounting problems based on a keen understanding of accounting principles and business activities
  • Communicates and collaborates with co-workers in relevant operating groups and management to ensure understanding of business transactions and achieve efficient and effective accounting results
  • Assists in the design and execution of preventative and detective controls to the completeness and accuracy of account balances and periodic activity
  • Prepare monthly reconciliations and validations of various sub-ledgers to general ledger control account balances, including but not limited to:
    • Cash accounts
    • Certain current and long-term assets
    • Certain current and long-term liabilities
    • Reconcile bank accounts monthly.
  • Assist with the annual audits performed by external auditors and lenders by preparing audit schedules and/or reports providing appropriate explanations as required
  • Assist operating companies, other internal service providers and external auditors with accounting related inquiries and requests
  • Special projects as assigned

 

Education/Experience/Skills Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting required
  • A minimum of 1- 2 years general accounting experience or relevant business experience preferred
  • Previous experience and expertise with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel required
  • Advanced skills in Excel desirable
  • Strong analytical capabilities and strong written and verbal communication skills required
  • SAP or equivalent ERP system experience desired with knowledge of basic accounting system functionality required
  • Self-starter who is drawn towards taking initiative, can multi-task, has strong interpersonal skills with an ability to respond to inquiries and effectively present information to accounting and business managers
  • Ability to identify and define problems, collect supporting data, establish facts, propose solutions, and meet deadlines

Sustainability Analyst

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

 

  • Organize, maintain, and analyze data lists and processes that support Bumble Bee’s due diligence in ensuring legal and responsible sourcing.
  • Develop and update comprehensive reports by leveraging historical data to drive insightful analysis, identify trends, and support strategic decision-making.
  • Lead development of queries in SQL to synthesize and interpret information pulled from multiple sources.
  • Advance internal data systems in ways that improve integration and streamline sustainability data for improved internal analysis as well as external reporting.
  • Utilize data visualization techniques and sustainability management platforms to analyze data and identify trends, patterns, and correlations related to sustainability performance. This analysis will involve using software tools such as SQL, Power BI, SAP, Excel, PowerPoint, and other internally developed sustainability data platforms.
  • Work cross functionally with key departments such as Quality Assurance and IT on projects that involve sustainability data and systems alignment for more integrated and efficient data flow and processes. For example, elevate Bumble Bee’s internal traceability product tracking systems and consumer facing Trace My Catch system by implementing new traceability standards and data validation tools.
  • Work with team members around the globe (Thailand, Indonesia, Taiwan…) on sustainability and traceability projects that integrate across our global operations and sister companies.
  • Support Senior Sustainability Analyst in customer and regulatory reporting across topics such as sustainable sourcing, packaging, carbon emissions reductions, and other topics as needed.
  • Monitor news and media reports on sustainable seafood issues applicable to Bumble Bee’s supply chain.
  • Identify opportunities for data, systems, and process improvements and provide recommendations for enhancing the company’s sustainability performance.
  • Other duties as needed.

 

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILLS REQUIRED

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree required.
  • Minimum of 3 years similar work experience required.
  • Ability to write efficient SQL queries for data retrieval and management (Transact-SQL experience preferred).
  • Experience writing DAX expressions for advanced data manipulation in Power BI, and strong grasp of data visualization best practices in Power BI.
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Excel for data analysis and reporting.
  • Expertise in efficiently handling large datasets (cleaning, filtering, and managing data).
  • Supply chain, seafood, and/or Consumer Packaged Goods experience beneficial.
  • Desired experience with product traceability and electronic traceability systems.
  • Understanding of sustainability principles, practices, and frameworks relevant to the seafood industry is beneficial. Familiarity with sustainability certifications, standards, and reporting guidelines is desired.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Capacity to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to integrate sustainability considerations into business processes and decision-making.
  • Ability to critically evaluate data, identify trends, and draw insights to inform decision making and problem-solving related to sustainability challenges and opportunities.

SAP Security Administrator

The SAP Security Administrator will work and support the business with the Sr. SAP Security Administrator to apply their learnings to Bumble Bee security issues.  The person in this role will also be responsible for bulk analyses of security data for trends and anomalies.  Other duties may include working with Microsoft tools, coordinating with vendors, working with end users and supporting the Applications team.

 

 

Responsibilities:

The responsibility of the SAP Security Administrator is to work directly with the Sr. SAP Security Administrator to learn Bumble Bee SAP security standards to a level where they can work independently on assigned tasks as well as “back up” the Sr. SAP Security Administrator.

 

 

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Handle day to day SAP Security help desk tickets.
  • Understanding of multi-system, multi-level, multi-location, multi-role concepts.
  • Problem solve SAP Security anomalies and resolve.
  • Set up new SAP users and shut down obsolete accounts.
  • Create new security roles as required.
  • Communicate effectively with IT team and business users regarding Security issues.
  • Coordinate collection and preparation of Security data for auditors.
  • Proficient with MS Excel formulas and multiple file joins.
  • Develop documentation such as work instructions, policies, and procedures.
  • Ability to understand and work through an IF THEN statement.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy is a must.
  • Ability to function in a fast-paced environment, quickly and efficiently.
  • Manage 3rd party job scheduling software.

 

 

Education, Qualifications and Skills Desired:

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field of study. Technical certificate, education or work experience may be substituted in lieu of education as determined by Management.
  • Bachelor’s degree or education in progress in a related field such as Computer Science or Business.
  • Good customer service acumen.
  • 1-3 years’ experience working with SAP ECC Security.
  • 1-3 years’ experience working with SAP BW4HANA security.
  • Familiarity with SAP S/4 HANA security.
  • Knowledge of setting up both internal and external SAP users.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office tools.
  • Basic understanding of audit procedures.
