Director, Business Development & Shopper Marketing
Purpose
Lead the analysis and recommendations related to identifying and overcoming opportunity gaps at key customers, and within each product segment, to support all selling activities for Bumble Bee LLC. Lead the Shopper Marketing function, including ideation and execution across all customers.

- Accountable for the Broker oversight process, including broker compensation model, effective communication of Bumble Bee sales plans, and ongoing assessment of broker effectiveness.
- Identity opportunity gaps by segment, within all customers, advising the sales team of the priorities based on size and complexity. Do so via close collaboration with Revenue & Trade Management and Category teams.
- Contribute to the efforts to develop Category influence plans to secure best possible shelf merchandising for Bumble Bee items.
- Participate in the post-promotional analysis process to determine effectiveness and to inform future plans.
- Lead and primary contact for all Shopper Marketing related activities. Manage the ideation and creation of Shopper Marketing programs within the assigned budget.
- Maintain the highest ethical and professional standards regarding business dealings with internal and external customers.
- Ensure efficient time and expense management when traveling for the company.

Education, Experience, and Skills required
- Bachelor’s degree required; B.A. or B.S. in Business related field preferred.
- Requires 8+ years of CPG Sales, Category and Revenue Management experience.
- Proficient in Microsoft 365 Applications; most specifically Word, Power Point, and Excel
- Understand and be able to apply syndicated data analysis (IRI) into a selling platform.
- Fundamental and working knowledge of Trade Fund Management systems and internal sales/shipment reporting systems. Experience with CAS (TFM), Cognos and SAP preferred but not mandatory.
- Able to travel at least 20% of the time for business.

Key Responsibilities:
Compliance:
- Manage and update the company’s corporate compliance program, including leading an assessment of the company’s third-party compliance systems to ensure adherence to relevant laws, regulations, and internal policies

- Lead internal investigations related to compliance violations, ethics concerns, employment matters or other legal risks, proposing remedial actions, as necessary.

Legal:
- Review, draft, and negotiate a wide variety of commercial contracts.

- Manage relationships with external legal counsel and oversee legal proceedings when necessary, including with respect to product liability, worker’s comp and third-party subpoenas.
- Oversee the company’s data privacy program, ensuring compliance with global and domestic privacy laws, including GDPR, CCPA, and other applicable regulations.

Sustainability Analyst
We are seeking a Sustainability Analyst with strong technical expertise, effective communication skills, and a business-savvy mindset. This role will streamline technical systems and analyze data related to company operations and sustainability efforts, providing actionable insights that drive decision-making. Applicants must be adept at translating complex datasets into clear messages enabling leadership to make strategic business decisions, and customers and stakeholders to easily visualize the impact of sustainability efforts.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
· Organize, maintain, and analyze data lists and processes that support Bumble Bee’s due diligence in ensuring legal and responsible sourcing.
· Develop and update comprehensive reports by leveraging historical data to drive insightful analysis, identify trends, and support strategic decision-making.
· Lead development of queries in SQL to synthesize and interpret information pulled from multiple sources.
· Advance internal data systems in ways that improve integration and streamline sustainability data for improved internal analysis as well as external reporting.
· Utilize data visualization techniques and sustainability management platforms to analyze data and identify trends, patterns, and correlations related to sustainability performance. This analysis will involve using software tools such as SQL, Power BI, SAP, Excel, PowerPoint, and other internally developed sustainability data platforms.
· Effectively convey data analysis through impactful visuals and concise, compelling messaging, ensuring executive leadership gains clear, actionable insights to drive informed strategic decisions.
· Work cross functionally with key departments such as Quality Assurance and IT on projects that involve sustainability data and systems alignment for more integrated and efficient data flow and processes. For example, elevate Bumble Bee’s internal traceability product tracking systems and consumer facing Trace My Catch system by implementing new traceability standards and data validation tools.
· Identify opportunities for data, systems, and process improvements and provide recommendations for enhancing the company’s efficiency and sustainability performance.
· Support Senior Sustainability Analyst in customer and regulatory reporting across topics such as sustainable sourcing, packaging, carbon emissions reductions, and other topics as needed.
· Work with team members around the globe (Thailand, Indonesia, Taiwan…) on sustainability and traceability projects that integrate across our global operations and sister companies.
· Monitor news and media reports on sustainable seafood issues applicable to Bumble Bee’s supply chain.
· Other duties as needed.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILLS REQUIRED
· Bachelor’s Degree required.
· Minimum of 3 years similar work experience required.
· Ability to write efficient SQL queries for data retrieval and management (Transact-SQL experience preferred).
· Experience writing DAX expressions for advanced data manipulation in Power BI, and strong grasp of data visualization best practices in Power BI.
· Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Excel for data analysis and reporting.
· Expertise in efficiently handling large datasets (cleaning, filtering, and managing data).
· Demonstrated ability to communicate complex data and insights clearly and persuasively to key stakeholders, driving support for proposed strategies, process improvements, and critical operational decisions.
· Ability to critically evaluate data, identify trends, and draw insights to inform decision making and problem-solving related to business challenges and opportunities.
· Supply chain, seafood, and/or Consumer Packaged Goods experience beneficial.
· Desired experience with product traceability and electronic traceability systems.
· Understanding of sustainability principles, practices, and frameworks relevant to the seafood industry is beneficial. Familiarity with sustainability certifications, standards, and reporting guidelines is desired.

Director of E-commerce
Purpose
The Bumble Bee Seafood Company is looking for an experienced E-Commerce expert to lead and elevate our sales and marketing performance. This person will be responsible for effectively establishing our digital shelf and bringing brand strategies to life across E-Commerce environments. This position will collaborate horizontally and vertically across the organization to deliver a best-in-class omni-channel experience to sustain the accelerated growth of our digital business. We are looking for an individual who has successfully led CPG E-Commerce marketplace transformations and can make an immediate impact across our portfolio of brands. They will have experience and expertise leveraging content and media to build brands, as well as driving sales and profit across E-Commerce environments. They must be a strategic leader and doer, capable of effectively collaborating with marketing, finance and supply chain to grow revenue and profit. S/he will be an adaptable, analytical, scrappy problem solver capable of finding creative solutions to maximize ROI.
Essential Duties
STRATEGY: Responsible for the strategy and rollout of digital marketplace roadmaps for Pure Play in full partnership with Brand Marketing and Sales.
- Develop and execute short/long-term strategy to capture fair share of the E-Commerce channel.
- Develop a business case to justify and prioritize resources needed to win within the channel and key customers.
- Sync E-Commerce strategy with Brand and Sales strategy to ensure a seamless consumer journey.
- Contribute to annual strategy planning process.
PRODUCT & DISTRIBUTION: Collaborate with Marketing & Supply Chain to establish an optimal E-Commerce product and packaging portfolio to maximize revenue, profit and consumer reach.
- Ensure timely, accurate, and consistent product content syndication across all E-Commerce platforms – Syndigo, Product Information Management, Digital Asset Management, Content Management, etc.
- Evaluate and optimize current product portfolio sold across current E-Commerce platforms.
- Collaborate with Brand Marketing on innovation / new product development initiatives for the channel.
- Identify and secure new customer / distribution opportunities.
PROMOTION: harmonize funding budgets (trade, consumer / shopper, and digital advertising) to maximize total return.
- Collaborate with Brand Marketing on digital content including: Owned digital channels (website eCommerce / product locator), Social Media/Social Commerce, and cross-channel content mapping.
- Identify, recommend, and execute E-Commerce media strategy across platforms (AMS, specific retailer media groups, Instacart, Mindshare, etc.).
- Allocate, execute, and maximize / measure ROI / ROAS on Digital Customer Marketing Budget.
- Develop and execute customer specific digital shopper marketing programs.
- Define and report on KPI’s for content and media effectiveness.
OPERATIONS:
- Oversee catalog management of over 150 unique items, ensuring product listings are accurate, up-to-date, and optimized for search and conversion.
- Manage purchase orders (PO) and coordinate with Supply Chain to ensure timely fulfillment and delivery.
- Assist Supply Chain in the implementation of programs to support E-commerce growth, including logistics optimization; FTL, drop trailers, pallet ordering, GTIN ordering, etc.
PARTNERSHIPS: be the company E-Commerce subject matter expert, establishing internal and external partnerships to build and execute E-Commerce strategy.
- Internal: fully integrate with Brand management and Sales; establish effective working relationships across multiple cross-functional teams (IT, finance, supply chain, etc.).
- External: forge strategic partnerships with key digital players including (but not limited to) agency partners, retail media groups, key customer marketing teams, broker E-Commerce teams, and others to co-develop winning business plans.
- Business ownership for key Pure Play eCommerce customers.
- Provide e-commerce guidance to brick-and-mortar colleagues.
BUDGET & PERFORMANCE: contribute to setting, managing, and achieving budgeted targets including:
- Achieving channel volume, sales, share, and margin targets.
MEASUREMENT & INSIGHTS: employ “test and learn” mindsight to progress toward vision of being a best-in-class brand in E-Commerce.
